A Portrait of Dorian Gray by Karl Lagerfeld
With our society’s obsession with beauty and plastic surgery, Oscar Wilde’s famous novel The Picture of Dorian Gray resonates more than ever. Hollywood made THREE movies about it, the latest was released in 2009. A few years ago, Karl Lagerfeld published A Portrait of Dorian Gray, a photography book presenting his take on the iconic novel in the context of fashion and glamour.

2009 Visual Retrospective :: Mariano Vivanco
With the end of the year 2009, I want to do a few ‘visual retrospective’ posts of my favorite photographers (and perhaps models) who I feel have contributed to the evolution of Homotography over the past year. Photographer Mariano Vivanco is the first name I could think of, and looking at these images of his Homotography 2009 features, it’s easy to see why. Each of these small thumbnails is linked to the original story, so if you missed it or want to refresh your memory, simply click on that image.

Holding Trevor
I saw this movie, Holding Trevor, the other day. It’s from 2007, and it features Brent Gorski (who also wrote and executive produced the movie) and Jay Brannan.
Maybe I connected with this dark comedy because I personally feel as lost in life as the main character, or maybe the movie is really good. Whatever the case, this is something worth checking out. Watch the trailer below.
And here is Jay Brannan’s song Lower My Gun, from the movie.
